Ce que nous avons v\u00e9cu, ce sont des changements climatiques locaux avec des tendances similaires provoqu\u00e9s par des d\u00e9gradations similaires des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes, principalement dues \u00e0 la d\u00e9forestation, \u00e0 l\u2019expansion urbaine et \u00e0 l\u2019agriculture industrielle. En d\u2019autres termes, la qualit\u00e9 globale du ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne est li\u00e9e \u00e0 un d\u00e9veloppement humain irresponsable qui se reproduit dans le monde entier.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Si la sph\u00e8re de la plan\u00e8te elle-m\u00eame se r\u00e9chauffait, nous en trouverions la preuve en calculant la diff\u00e9rence de temp\u00e9rature entre l\u2019\u00e9quateur et les p\u00f4les. C\u2019est la mesure standard selon le professeur Richard Lindzen. Il est bien plac\u00e9 pour le savoir, <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">car il est le sp\u00e9cialiste le plus qualifi\u00e9 que j\u2019aie rencontr\u00e9 dans ces disciplines.<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> Lindzen est un scientifique prim\u00e9 dans les domaines de la m\u00e9t\u00e9orologie et de la dynamique atmosph\u00e9rique, avec une formation en physique et en math\u00e9matiques appliqu\u00e9es qu\u2019il a \u00e9tudi\u00e9es \u00e0 Harvard, o\u00f9 il a obtenu un doctorat en math\u00e9matiques appliqu\u00e9es. Il a occup\u00e9 des postes de professeur au MIT et \u00e0 Harvard. Il est membre de l\u2019Acad\u00e9mie nationale des sciences et membre de l\u2019American Meteorological Society et de l\u2019American Association for the Advancement of Science.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Le Groupe d\u2019experts intergouvernemental sur l\u2019\u00e9volution du climat (GIEC) des Nations unies se concentre quant \u00e0 lui sur la temp\u00e9rature moyenne mondiale. Alors que la diff\u00e9rence <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">de temp\u00e9rature entre l\u2019\u00e9quateur et les p\u00f4les<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> est une mesure <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">du <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">climat plan\u00e9taire, la temp\u00e9rature moyenne mondiale est un ensemble de relev\u00e9s locaux de temp\u00e9rature<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">s<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">. Il est important de faire cette distinction si nous voulons nous attaquer efficacement aux probl\u00e8mes auxquels nous sommes confront\u00e9s.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Si le probl\u00e8me est unique et se r\u00e9sume \u00e0 une accumulation atmosph\u00e9rique de gaz \u00e0 effet de serre, des r\u00e9ductions d\u2019\u00e9missions sont n\u00e9cessaires et les \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes n\u2019ont pas grand-chose \u00e0 voir avec la question. Nous pouvons mettre en \u0153uvre des mesures plus industrielles, notamment des parcs \u00e9oliens, des centrales photovolta\u00efques et la capture directe de l\u2019air (DAC) pour s\u00e9questrer le CO<\/span><\/span><sub><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">2<\/span><\/span><\/sub><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> dans des conteneurs. <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Inutile alors<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> de se pr\u00e9occuper de la sant\u00e9 des sols et des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes. Si, par contre, les probl\u00e8mes sont multiples et <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">li\u00e9s<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> \u00e0 une d\u00e9gradation des \u00e9cosyst\u00e8mes, les mesures industrielles ne feront qu\u2019exacerber le probl\u00e8me et nous d\u00e9penserons des milliers de milliards pour des technologies <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">absurd<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">es.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Dans un article de 2016, le g\u00e9ologue Don J. Easterbrook explique ce qui suit\u00a0:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"western\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Le CO<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><sub><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">2<\/span><\/span><\/sub><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> ne repr\u00e9sente qu\u2019une infime partie de l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re (0,040\u00a0%) et ne constitue que 3,6\u00a0% de l\u2019effet de serre. La teneur atmosph\u00e9rique en CO<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><sub><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">2<\/span><\/span><\/sub><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> n\u2019a augment\u00e9 que de 0,008\u00a0% depuis que les \u00e9missions ont <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">explos\u00e9<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> apr\u00e8s 1945. Une augmentation aussi minime du CO<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><sub><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">2<\/span><\/span><\/sub><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> ne peut pas provoquer l\u2019augmentation de temp\u00e9rature de 10\u00b0F pr\u00e9vue par les d\u00e9fenseurs du CO<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><sub><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">2<\/span><\/span><\/sub><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">. Les mod\u00e9lisateurs informatiques du climat int\u00e8grent dans leurs mod\u00e8les une forte composante de vapeur d\u2019eau qui, selon eux, est due \u00e0 l\u2019augmentation de la vapeur d\u2019eau atmosph\u00e9rique provoqu\u00e9e par <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">un l\u00e9ger<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> r\u00e9chauffement d\u00fb au CO<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><sub><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">2<\/span><\/span><\/sub><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">. Comme la vapeur d\u2019eau repr\u00e9sente 90 \u00e0 95\u00a0% de l\u2019effet de serre, ils affirment qu\u2019il en r\u00e9sultera un r\u00e9chauffement. Le probl\u00e8me est que la vapeur d\u2019eau atmosph\u00e9rique a en fait diminu\u00e9 depuis 1948, et n\u2019a pas augment\u00e9 comme l\u2019exigent les mod\u00e8les climatiques. Si le CO<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><sub><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">2<\/span><\/span><\/sub><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> est \u00e0 l\u2019origine du r\u00e9chauffement climatique, <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">alors celui-ci<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> devrait toujours pr\u00e9c\u00e9der le<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">s p\u00e9riodes de<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> r\u00e9chauffement lorsque le climat de la Terre se r\u00e9chauffe apr\u00e8s une p\u00e9riode glaciaire. Or, dans tous les cas, le CO<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><sub><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">2<\/span><\/span><\/sub><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> est en retard de ?800\u00a0ans sur le r\u00e9chauffement. (Voir ScienceDirect, <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000080;\"><u><a href=\"https:\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/abs\/pii\/B9780128045886000094?via%3Dihub\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">ici<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/a><\/u><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">.)<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Le g\u00e9ologue David Archibald a soulign\u00e9 que la relation entre le CO<\/span><\/span><sub><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">2<\/span><\/span><\/sub><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> atmosph\u00e9rique et le r\u00e9chauffement \u00ab\u00a0n\u2019est pas lin\u00e9aire, mais logarithmique\u00a0\u00bb, ce qui signifie que l\u2019effet de r\u00e9chauffement s\u2019att\u00e9nue \u00e0 une concentration donn\u00e9e\u00a0:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"western\">\n<p style=\"padding-left: 80px;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Les gaz \u00e0 effet de serre maintiennent la Terre 30\u00b0C plus chaude qu\u2019elle ne le serait sans eux dans l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re, de sorte qu\u2019au lieu <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">d\u2019une<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> temp\u00e9rature moyenne \u00e0 la surface de -15\u00b0C, elle est de 15\u00b0C. Le dioxyde de carbone contribue \u00e0 10\u00a0% <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">\u00e0 cet <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">effet, soit <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">environ <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">3\u00b0C. Le niveau pr\u00e9industriel de CO<\/span><\/span><sub><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">2<\/span><\/span><\/sub><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> dans l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re \u00e9tait de 280 ppm. En gros, si l\u2019effet de r\u00e9chauffement est une relation lin\u00e9aire, chaque 100 ppm contribue \u00e0 hauteur de 1\u00b0C. <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Avec une<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> concentration atmosph\u00e9rique <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">qui <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">augmentant de 2 ppm par an, elle augmenterait de 100 ppm tous les 50\u00a0ans et nous <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">seri<\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">ons tous grill\u00e9 selon les pr\u00e9dictions du GIEC.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p class=\"western\" align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Le raisonnement d\u2019Archibald est bien repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 par le graphique suivant, qui montre que les 20\u00a0premi\u00e8res ppm ont eu un effet important sur la cr\u00e9ation de la couverture <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">de gaz \u00e0 effet <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">de serre. Cependant, pr\u00e8s de dix ans se sont \u00e9coul\u00e9s depuis l\u2019explication d\u2019Easterbrook et quinze ans depuis celle d\u2019Archibald, et ces affirmations n\u2019ont pas \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9fut\u00e9es. La question cl\u00e9 ici est de savoir si le CO<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><sub><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">2<\/span><\/span><\/sub><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> atmosph\u00e9rique <\/span><\/span><\/span><em><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">est un facteur causal <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">en ce qui concerne le r\u00e9chauffement. Si c\u2019est le cas, l\u2019accumulation devrait \u00eatre suivie d\u2019une augmentation de la temp\u00e9rature. Or, c\u2019est l\u2019inverse qui est observ\u00e9. Ruechel fait remarquer qu\u2019une \u00e9tude r\u00e9alis\u00e9e en 2022 a r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 que les \u00e9missions dues aux incendies de d\u00e9forestation sont sous-estim\u00e9es de 200 \u00e0 300\u00a0% et que si l\u2019on ajoute les chiffres du Br\u00e9sil et de l\u2019Indon\u00e9sie pour la seule p\u00e9riode\u00a02019-2020 (pour que les estimations restent prudentes), nous atteignons \u00ab\u00a074\u00a0% de l\u2019augmentation des niveaux de CO<\/span><\/span><sub><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">2<\/span><\/span><\/sub><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"> dans l\u2019atmosph\u00e8re <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">globale <\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">caus\u00e9e par des sources de combustibles non fossiles\u00a0\u00bb (pp.\u00a0503-4).
